Kirishima (霧島町蒸留所)

Founded in 1911, Kirishima Distillery is situated at the foot of the Kirishima Mountains in Kagoshima. Guided by the philosophy that "Quality Shochu comes from quality soil," the distillery produces spirits deeply connected to the land. They are renowned for using traditional "kame" (clay pots) inherited since their founding, combined with pure spring water from the Kirishima range. Their flagship brand, "Akarui Nouson," features a masterful blend of black and white koji, offering a well-rounded sweetness and rich complexity. The distillery strives to be "Japan’s most beautiful and trusted," sharing the authentic flavors of the rural harvest.
