Founded in 1945 in Tatsugo, Amami Oshima, Yamada Shuzo is a boutique distillery renowned for its artisanal Kokuto (Brown Sugar) Shochu. Their flagship brands, "Nagagumo" and "Ichibanbashi," are celebrated for their bold character. By adhering to traditional atmospheric distillation and using premium local brown sugar, they preserve the intense aroma and rich, oily texture of the raw ingredients.
