About The Brewery
Komatsu Syuzou Co., Ltd. (小松酒造)
Founded in the late 1800s in Karatsu, Saga, Komatsu Shuzo is a historic brewery surrounded by rich nature. After a period of dormancy, it was revived in 1990 by the current owner. Their flagship brand, "Manrei," is crafted under the philosophy of "sincerity in every grain and every drop," using local rice and pure Yamase spring water through traditional handmade methods. Characterized by a rich umami profile and a crisp finish, the brewery continues its passionate pursuit of creating sake that honors tradition while perfectly complementing modern cuisine.
